Environmental Awareness

An in depth course to highlight the need to be environmentally friendly in the wrokplace. The course explores methods that you and your organisation can implement an environmentally friendly working environment.

The environmental awareness course aims to enable the trainee to recognise the most important areas of their role that have an impact on the environment. In addition trainees will learn to deal with issues in their workplace that can affect the environment.

The course emphasises the importance of environmental management and how it affects thier lives and the lives of others

Environmental Aspects

  • What is ‘environment’?
  • Outcomes of not complying with the environment related legislation
  • When is a hazard an environmental issue?

Water

  • Controlled water resources
  • Sources of water contamination
  • Your duties towards controlling water related hazards

Land

  • The environmental issue of land-filling
  • The importance of safe disposal of waste
  • The importance of minimisation of waste

Air

  • Greenhouse gases
  • Greenhouse effect
  • Environmental Issues
  • Environmental issues effecting the environment
  • Other areas of concern to the environment
