Fire Warden Training Course

Who this course is aimed at:

Any person who is, or is likely to be, a designated Fire Warden on a site, or those who have a specific responsibility in the event of a fire occurring.

• A clear understanding of the duties of a Fire Warden
• An understanding of the effects of fire and smoke
• The ability to extinguish small fires with correct equipment

• What is fire, how it spreads and how it is extinguished
• Types of fire fighting equipment available
• Use of fire fighting equipment
• Means of escape, fire and evacuation plans, fire alarms, emergency lighting, log books
• Keeping records

Training method:

Seminar including practical and group work.

Course outcome/qualification:

MB Safety Training certificate that is valid for 1 year.

Pre-requisite knowledge/qualification:

Discuss with your manager what you should gain from the training and identify any problems that have occurred in the past.
