First Aid at Work Training Course - 2 Day Refresher (HSE Approved)

Who this course is aimed at:

Any person who has gained a 3 or 4 Day HSE Approved First Aid at Work qualification within the previous 3 years.

Course objectives/key benefits:

The aim of the course is to refresh the candidate’s knowledge and skills in order to maintain their qualification.

Course content:

• The principles and practices of first aid – and the priorities to apply
• Dealing with an unconscious person
• Breathing and airways
• Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• Bleeding and its control
• Management of the trauma victim
• Various medical conditions and how to deal with them

Training method:

Seminar including practical and group work and all participants will be assessed by means of a short written paper, a demonstration of practical skills, and, if applicable, an oral assessment.

Course outcome/qualification:

HSE Approved certificate that is valid for 3 years.

Pre-requisite knowledge/qualification:

Must hold a qualification as above.
