Fork Lift Truck Training Courses

Courses Offered:

All the courses we offer are structured to meet the requirements of employers regarding their duties under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974; the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER); the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER), as applicable and other relevant regulations and codes of practice.

Successful completion of the course will allow candidates to:

  • Operate the model of fork truck used on the training course, safely and in accordance with the manufacturer’s operator manual with accepted good operating practices.
  • Clearly demonstrate an understanding of the causes of instability of trucks and loads.
  • Correctly perform routine pre-use inspections of the fork lift truck in accordance with the manufacturers operator manual..

 

Forklift Refresher Training Course:

An effective basic operator refresher training course for operators who have previously received adequate formal basic operator training and are appropriately certificated to operate industrial rider operated counterbalanced or reach trucks.

Existing Forklift Operator Training Course:

An effective basic operator training course for forklift operators who have previous operating experience but no previous formal training and will be required to operate counterbalanced or reach trucks as part of their normal work duties.

Novice Forklift Operator Training Course:

An effective basic operator training course for those operators who have had no previous operating experience or training and will be required to operate industrial counterbalanced or reach lift trucks as part of their normal work duties.

Conversion training courses :

A course for operators wishing to convert from one truck type to another.
All the above courses are Road Transport Industry Training Board (RTITB) accredited and are for a maximum of 3 candidates per course.
Course durations can be significantly reduced when the Operator does not require instruction in relation to the following:

  • Working in Industrial Racking
  • Loading and unloading transport vehicles
  • Stacking/De-stacking free standing stacks
  • Bulk Stacking
  • Operating on ramps and inclines
  • Stacking at Eye level
  • Stacking at High level

Non Accredited Courses are offered if  RTITB registration is not required and certificates issued will be “in-house” and will apply only to your company premises.
